We know you have dreams and aspirations for your future. Our mission is to provide you with the basic things you need to realise your true potential.

Whether it’s a clean toothbrush or a safe place to sleep, teaching you how to cook or helping you understand your finances, we’re committed to getting the basics right and giving you the life skills you need to thrive and be the person you were destined to be.

A place you can call home

When you come to live in one of our homes our priority is to ensure you have a warm, comfortable well-furnished place to live.

A place that is first and foremost your home. We will help you to stay safe physically and emotionally, and follow the things that interest you.

You will have access to friendly, helpful and supportive staff who will work alongside you, and give you many of the tools you need as you progress towards independence. Staff will be on site 24 hours a day.

We will respect and listen to you, and make it as easy as we can for you to talk with us, to raise any concerns and when you need to, ask for help.

What you can expect from us:

How we will work with you:

  • Work to build positive relationships with you based on trust, respect and listening.
  • Be consistent, open and accessible.
  • Be clear about how we expect you to behave and how you treat others.
  • Expect you to show respect, tolerance and understanding of the other young people living in the house.
  • Expect you to treat the house and its contents with respect.
  • Expect you to return by the agreed times, to be contactable, and to understand that we may have to report you to the Police as Missing From Home, if you don’t follow our procedures.
  • Give you a named development worker, who will have overall responsibility for your well-being.
  • Expect you to take part in development work sessions.
  • Record information about how you look after yourself, concerns, appointments, issues with behaviour etc., we will share these with your social worker.
  • Expect you to engage in education, employment or training where you can.
  • Work with you on developing your life skills and ability to live on your own, using the Independent Living Programme.
  • Expect you to take part in anything eg meetings that impacts on or matters to you. We will support you in this, and help you to say what you need to say.
  • Expect you to act safely when you are in the house and not to do anything that is dangerous (like smoke indoors) to yourself or to others.
  • Take immediate action if we think it is necessary in order to keep you safe.
  • Celebrate your achievements and successes.
